Quote by Swami Vivekananda: “You are the Architect of your own life”. This profound quote reveals the depth and breadth of the words ‘architect’ and ‘architecture’. It highlights how individual perspectives can spark debate and discussion.

An architect is not merely someone who builds structures; they are creators, visionaries who shape buildings – and in turn, are shaped by their creations. The quote encourages us to reflect on our agency in shaping our own lives.
Even if professionals divert from their mainstream career paths after working for some years, it doesn’t mean they’re not architects at heart. They remain architects because they’re applying their knowledge to different fields, ultimately contributing to building a world — not just physical structures. Whether on-site or off-site, their perspective remains rooted in their architectural insight.

An architect isn’t someone who builds with bricks; they’re visionaries. Visions differ from person to person — and so does the way they express them. It’s vision that makes someone an architect. If architects were asked to do the same thing, the whole world would look identical. For architects, even the sky isn’t the limit.

If architects only built buildings without diverting to fields like teaching, publishing, or research, there wouldn’t be a next generation of architects. The wheel of time always moves forward and never stops. In the book Humankind, there’s a passage reflecting this idea: Humans have reached current levels of development because of sharing ideas. This quote correlates to our concept.
